CIF is the C&F price of the car with marine insurance included.

Terminology

- Body type -

SEDAN:A 4 door passenger car where the engine room, seating area and trunk are all separated.

HATCHBACK:These are usually smaller compact cars in which the trunk and seating area are connected. Its very practical as the rear seats can be folder down, to provide greater storage area.

WAGON:These cars have a third row of seats which allows for carrying more passengers and luggage.

VAN:These are specialized for the purpose of carrying cargo, compared to other models of cars they often sport larger space inside, while having rather simple interior decoration.

SUV(Sports Utility Vehicle):These vehicles have the highest ground clearance of any models (the height from the ground to the lowest part of the car body), and can be used for anything from driving on rough roads, or just for day to day driving. As they are often used in the outdoors, many SUVs have a high quality driving g performance.

TRUCK:A large heavy road vehicle used for the purpose of carrying goods or materials.

HYBRID CARS:Vehicles that combine an electric motor, with a standard gasoline engine. These vehicles often have greater fuel economy and emit lower levels of carbon dioxide than standard gasoline vehicles. Not only are the environmentally friendly but the electric motors create far less noise, creating a quieter driving experience.


- Equipment / Option -

ABS : Anti-lock Braking System
ABS systems prevent the tires from locking up when sudden and hard breaking is applied. This stops the tires from loosing traction and makes stopping or turning while breaking easier.

PS : Power Steering
A system which uses the engines power, to help the driver steer the vehicle. This enables the vehicle to steer with little to no effort or strength required

PW : Power Window
Windows which can be opened or closed by an electric switch

AC : Air Conditioner
A system that adjust the temperature, either by heating or cooling the inside of the vehicle.

AB : Air Bag
A cushioning material that is deployed in the case of a collision to protect passengers on board the vehicle.

AW : Alloy Wheels
An alternative to the standard steel wheels, often seen on vehicles. These are typically made out of aluminum alloys.

P-SEAT : Power Seat
Usually equipped to the driver and passenger seat this allows for the seats position or tilt to be adjusted by a switch and an electric motor.

S-SWITCH : Steering Switch
A switch on the steering wheel that allows for changing of audio functions.

HID : High Intensity Discharge lamp
HID lights generate light by sending an electrical discharge through ionized gas. These lights create a bright white light and offer a brighter light for less power than traditional halogen bulbs.

FOG : Fog Light
A smaller light equipped under the headlight. This bright light can be used in foggy conditions to improve road visibility or warn other divers of your location.

P-START : Push Start
Instead of inserting and turning the key in the ignition like standard cars, these units will have a button which will start the engine when pressed. To do so you will need to have the key in the car and be holding the brake pedal down.

RR : Roof Rail
Rails or racks on the roof for carrying cargo

B-MONITOR : Back Monitor
A small camera fitted at the rear of the car, projects an image of what is behind you. When the car is put into reverse this will automatically show on the navigation screen, making reversing much easier.

SR : Sun Roof
An opening on the roof of a car, usually made of a transparent resign or glass. This roof can be opened or closed to let air in and out, and can be partial blocked out to control light flows into the car.

GR : Glass Roof
A portion of the cars roof is made of glass. Unlike sun roofs, most of these are fixed and cannot be opened or closed.

L-SEAT : Leather Seat
The vehicles seats are made from leather. This is often a sign of a higher quality car, and the leather protects from water damage and is easier to keep clean.

BT : Back tyre
A spare tyre attached to the rear of a vehicle. These are common on SUV type cars.

GG : Grill Guard
A metal frame attached to the bumper of a vehicle to protect the grill.

S-STEP : Side Step
A running board or bar equipped to the car under the doors. This acts a sa step making getting into the car easier.

AERO : Aero Kit
Other wise known as an Aerodynamic kit, these are aesthetic enhancements that make the car like more aerodynamic. They are often used to improve the look of the car

RS: Rear Spoiler
Gitted to the rear of the car, these reduce the turbulence or drag to the rear of a car. While it serves to improve the aerodynamics of a car, it is often equipped as an aesthetic feature.

LED-HL :
A headlight that uses LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes)

NV :
Car navigation system

SEAT-HEATER : Seat Heater
Heaters directly equipped into the seats, usually the drivers and passenger. These serve to heat the people sitting on them until the air condition can fully heat the car.

P-DOOR : Power slide Door
A door equipped with an electric motor, that will open and close simply by lifting the handle.

C&F : Cost & Freight
The C & F price is the price of the car and the shipping to the seaport of your country. The purchaser will bear the additional costs due to the risk of losing or damaging the car, loss or damage after car delivery.

CIF : Cost Insurance and Freight
CIF is the C&F price of the car with marine insurance included. The purchaser will bear the additional costs due to the risk of losing or damaging the car, loss or damage after car delivery.

B/L : Bill of Landing
The B/L is a document issues by the freight company to the shipper. This serves as a contract between the two parties, as well as a confirmation and proof the goods have been shipped and is used as a receipt to claim the goods at the final destination.

Invoice :
This is issued to you by Autocom Japan. The Invoice will contain the name, address and phone number of the purchaser, as well as a detailed description of the purchased vehicle.

Proforma Invoice :
This is an initial invoice issued by Autocom Japan, with all the details and pricing need to make the initial payments.

T/T : Telegraphic Transfer
This is a method of transferring money through the bank. Money is sent from the senders account directly to the recipients account. The funds are transferred straight away, and the bank will issue a receipt for this transaction. The receipt is the TT copy.

L/C : Letter of Credit
A letter of credit is a letter issued by a bank, in which the bank will facilitate the transaction acting as a middle man to take care of the documents and the payments. The payments are not transferred straight away and only when the letter is cashed in at the bank. We offer this payment option for select countries.

Import Regulations

Various restrictions are place upon imported vehicles by local governments. We advise that you check all the relevant restrictions and taxation rates by your self and gain any necessary import permissions that are required by your country. It is the responsibility of the buyer to cancel any transactions due to import restrictions.

We advise to check the following points against local regulations

First year and month of registration
Year and month of manufacture
Displacement (engine capacity)
Steering wheel location (left hand drive or right hand drive)
